Hey,

Looking at getting a couple crankas but not sure which colours to try? What do most of you use on yellow fin bream?

Cheers

I've had success on probably about 75% of the colours, my top 5 would be in no particular order

Smoked Prawn
Olive Prawn
Wicked Prawn
Pink Bitts
Black Flame

Hard to leave BBQ Prawn out of that list tho!

I would have said the exact same

However I reckon they are all great. As long as you feel confident in the colour your using, it'll convert

There is no good, better colour because every waterway is different. That aside it is so hard to pick the top 4 colours...If I had a choice I would get them all

Hey Marty,

If you like mate, search up on some of steery's old posts - theres a thread with an insane amount of information based on colours and species - its worth its weight in gold!

IMO

Clear water - BBQ prawn, Pink Bitts, Glass ayu

Not so clear water - Ice minnow, beer bottle, tiger prawn, toffee apple

Dirtttty water - Black flame, pink bitts (oddly enough!), camo prawn and the "not so clear" colours.

As i've said before...I've caught fish on ALL the colours...so they all work

I've had a lot of success on the brightly coloured Lava Prawn in water that's fairly discoloured. I agree, the more natural colours like Glass Ayu and Smokey Prawn are better suited to clear water conditions though.
