custom guides help

Hey guys,
I'm purchasing a second hand bream buster and it has a full set of recoil guides. Just wondering how much it would cost me approximately to have the stripper and tip changed to sic guides.... or should I go the full monty and replace them all (approximate price also).
Cheers for the help

Interesting to hear of a Bream Buster with a full set of recoils, including the stripper. Th XF's came out standard with full recoils including the tip, but with a Fuji T-ATSG stripper. Perhaps the original owner wanted it that way?

Check out Hayden at ocean storm kiama. Bit of a drive I know but he does all my custom work. He made me a samuri BR201C blank with sic tip and stripper, the other 6 are recoils. Probably cost you $40 all up. Might be worth using k guides

Depending on what size reel you are using will have a bearing on what size stripper guide you will need so could cost you any where up to 90$ in aus for the stripper guide if you use a titanium sic.Be about 30$ for a tip top.You can get cheaper k guides but made from gunsmoke stainless steel with sic insert.I have one ready for my next build but cant comment on it yet.You can also use the TATSG guides they were put on some of the the miller rods and are cheaper and are good but arent tangle free though i have not had any problems with mine depends what you are looking for. Also depends how the guides have been setup if you want to change them. You may need a few extra recoils. Also have to match up the thread to the original.Lots of things to think about.

cheers.....Roy
