Watersnake issue

Hey all...I'm after some ideas about a problem with my 54lb leccy...went to the glenelg today over some roughish roads and on the way noticed that if I hit a decent bump, the leccy would give a quick spin and then stop...at the time I didn't worry about it but when I started to fish, I noticed that the leccy was constantly running...I made sure the constant on switch was off but this made no difference...ended up having to turn the speed button right down to stop it running...I'm guessing it's a stuck switch on the foot pedal and should probably give it a good clean and spray with electrical contact spray but I'm looking for other opinions so what do you all think.

cheers

Hi Clis

The exact same thing happened to my leccy not long ago aswell, I had to turn it on and off by raising the speed wheel up and down. Mine stopped itself but i'd recommend giving all the circuit boards inside the head of the electric a good clean.

Cheers
Todd

I had a snake on my last boat... Same problem.. I sent the unit back to Jarvis walker in Adelaide, via the local reseller, and they replaced the circuit board free of charge..

Unfortunate that it happened... But glad JW were willing assist, and it was repaired and returned in a very short time frame...

Cheers Nick

Agree with the Crab on this one, mine would not turn left, actually it ended up not doing a lot of things! Went back to jarvis in Adelaide, now it has been fault free for ages

All is good...cleaned the plug between the foot pedal and the leccy...found a small amount of corrosion joining two of the posts together...gave it a test and it worked perfectly...will give it another run on the weekend to but all looks sweet atm.

Thanks for you input everyone.

cheers
