3lb Sniper

I do my fair share of flats fishing and have recently been using 2lb Sunline Basic FC.
I've just ordered a spool of 3lb Sunline Sniper. Can anyone tell me if this stuff goes OK on a 1000 size reel.
A 1000 suits the rod I use but I could go to a 2500 if neccessary.
Thanks

It goes fine mate. You'll love the switch from 2 to 3lb! Hardly makes a difference with the fish and atleast you can put a little bit of hurt on them, plus you won't be casting lures off all the time like you would on 2lb.

Yeah all good on that size reel. Just ordered another spool of this from fishin.com.au. The sniper is great stuff.

+1 for the sniper FC. I fished 2lb all weekend at the Clarence and managed to catch a 1.08kg bream on it. I also recommend the toray bawg 2.5lb fc. A good balance. Expect wind knots though. You'll find both on fishin.com.au.

I'm presently running 3lb sniper on a 1000 stella. I've been very happy with it... it has now landed 5 barra for me, lol.

Do you any issues with it. I have tried it and got really peeved with it and gave it the flick. It was like using braid as I had it jumping of my Luvias 2500.

I have talked with a mate who does the bream comps and he told me to persist. Going to get a spool and give it a longer go.

no issues for me, have it on 2 reels and its been great. just make sure you pack in on tight, even put the spool in a bucket of warm water and then wind it on, that will help it grip better to the spool.

Used both Sniper 3lb and Toray ... much prefer the Sniper .. better knots and I found a lot of initial twisting with the Toray .. spooled them on the same way but Toray was very springy!?
