Which braid ?

I just picked up a Nitro surf rod and am putting a 5000 Stradic on it and need a bit of advice on what would be a good line to put on it. The rod is rated at 3-6 kg and I was thinking about putting 12 -15 lb line on it.
This outfit will be an all rounder type set up for bait fishing and tossing lures.
Will be using it off rocks and beaches.
Any ideas on what to get would be helpful thanks

Sean

Depends what weight lures you want to toss.
I mostly chuck 60 and 65g metals from the beach and find if I go too light in the braid it can cut into your casting finger.
I've been pretty happy with 14lb fireline and if I went to a finer, better quality braid I'd probably look at 20lb or around there.

Thanks for the advice all. I'll check and see if some of those brands are stocked at the local tackle store.

I use fins on both my beach rods (one heavy one for lures) & have no complaints.

The local tackle store has bulk Fins for $20 per 100 meters. That will do.

I have been using 20lb suffix off the stones and beach with a Ci4 4000 and it seems like a great combo. I think even 10-15lb would be enough.
