Where can you catch Blowfish?

Hello,
I am a new member and was just wondering where I could catch some blow fish. I have tried everywhere on bait and lures!!
But all I catch is bream. I caught 16 once in a session which gets realy annoying.
So I was just wondering if someone could tell me
where to go
What sort of bait or lures to use.

Thanks Blowfish

The most effective way to catch blowfish is to set up your rig with YOUR MOST EXPENSIVE Soft Plastic - Personally I find powerbait/ stick baits to be highly successful.
then...
be sure to cast where there are several bait fisho's positioned on their deck chairs soaking a prawn - the stretch from brewery towards #1 and #2 carpark are a good starting point ! - or anywhere where you find dozens of dead blowies littering and fouling up the shoreline
Now a lot of patience is required, because the wily blowie has a habit of just trailing you treasured SP, taking little nips; but be guaranteed that by the time you've exhausted at least a $12-$15 pack of SP's and dealt with the occasional bothersome bream or flathead, the Blowie crown will be yours !

Gary Yamamoto plastics work really well too.... go and pick up a couple of packs from Geoff at the store..

other than that you could always use squid.

Thumbs down BLOWFISH SEEKING ATTENTION

Hi Blowfish

It is in the genes of blowfish to seek attention indeed. Congratulations, I think you succeeded; a 14 year old got the rest of us indeed!

Just in case you didn't know, blowfish are normally thrown around, stampeded on, blown up by kids your age, etc etc....

Hope the website will be of use to you one day.

Happy fishing .....?????

Where I do most of my fishing, the blowfish are extremely wily, i.e., completely absent. I have to settle for those stupid bream and flathead. Jerks.

Hey Blowie,

I feel a tiny winy bad; this website has always been helpful so I will endeavour to be helpful.

I am going to Claremont jetty this evening for a bash. You are welcome to come along and meet your cousins! If you want, I will even show you how to catch them without a hook, bait or lure! Its easy! CU There ...... unless you live in NSW! ..... I'm in WA and man, its a long way to come meet just to meet your cousins!

"Blowie, blowie, blowie .......... yak - yak - yaks!
