Installing Bassart knobs??

I'm having abit of trouble working out how to install these bassart knobs on my reel. Bloody Japanese writing... Can sum1 please post some pics of the process or maybe share a link to a installation video?
thanks.
(i should also mention they are the smaller size 101 knobs)

Are they not similar to the RCS knobs ( remove cap undo screw, screw handle back on?) and you replace the shims to get rid of the play? as I have one coming soon so curious to know as well if there is something different?

What part are you stuck on?

nah they are abit different, i dont know ay but i just cant seem to work it out. I put all the bearings n stuff in the bottom half of the knob then i put the screw back on and then when i go to tighten on the top cap of the bassart knob it doesnt seems to tighten on properly. If someone could post pics of how they have theres set up i would much appreciate it.

From memory,

2004 sized reels ~ silver shim - bearing-skinny white shim - knob - bearing - silver shim - screw (if there is pla in the handle just add a couple of shims)

2500 + 3000 ~ silver shim - bearing - thick white shim - knob - bearing - silver shim - screw (same again with adding shims)

I just followed the diagram provided on the sheet, the bearings, shims and handle are pretty self explanatory, also forgot to add that I got the larger sized Bassart knobs so I could be slightly different.

Cheers Kyle

still cant seem to work it out.... it is as if the screw is preventing the top section of the knob from screwing down onto the bottom section? ahh its probs something really simple im doing wrong, just to stupid to realise it.

Are you using both supplied shims ? Sometimes they have a shimano and a daiwa shim etc in the bag. I did a zpi knob today and this was the case.

maybe lay out what your using in order and upload a pic.

It kinda looks like you just follow the diagram like a reel schematic. Ie on the diagram, on the top of the handle, the piece at the bottom goes on first. Vice versa on the bottom of the handle, once all washers and bearings are assembled, insert Allen screw into threaded receptacle and tighten with the appropriate size Allen key.

thats how I would do it mate

I would do the, metal shim, bearing, knob, bearing, metal shim, screw.

If there is still play in the handle I would then do the diagram on the right

Yes the white ones are spacers, like I stated above, on 2500 and above sized reels I required the larger spacer, and on the 2004 and smaller reels I required the smaller spacer if any.

First, screw the 2 black parts back together.

Then, on the reel handle post, add a shim, (then depending on the type of reel post you have, you might have to add the white collar), then the bearing.
Get an alan key to unscrew the silver cap from the knob.
Fit the knob over the post. In goes a bearing, and a then shim. Screw it down. Then screw the silver konb cap back on.

Trial and error

ive done it like its showed on the diagram, ive done it with more washers added, i dont know how many variations iv'e tried... but after ive inserted the screw and go to screw both parts of the knob back together it still doesnt screw on properly. The diagram makes it look like i have to take the silver cap off, ive tried and all ive done is scratch it to sh#t.
