bream prawns vs gulp shrimp

I know this argument has been done before but now the hype of the BP has died down what are we thinking is the better producing plastic?

Cut them in half, and put them both on the one jig head to make a hybrid bream shrimp/gulp prawn. Can't lose.

Hi Guys....I'm associated with Ecogear and JML but thought I'd reply to this post anyway. I've had some big days with the bream prawn over the last couple of years as part of the testing porcess etc.
But my best succes was in the recent Tas Classic on Tassie's Swan River..

I'd hardly had a chance to fish the system except for a tough day there many months previous to the comp. On that day I was able to put a great bag together in minor flood conditions using light coloured 50mm Bream Prawns in both racks and shallow flats areas. So i tried them during prefish and bingo had some excellent results fishing them up onto very open and shallow sand margins. We tried some normally fruitful alternatives trying to cross reference our options for the first day but these lures still came up trumps. To cut a long story short we had our bag by 7.30 on day 1 and 7.20 on day 2 using the BP's rigged on the Skip in the Shade 1/16 no1 and no1/0 jigs. I've never had bags so quick in any comp nor have I had such a good flow of upgrades to follow. I fished the prawns from a weed lined channel of about 2 metres deep and up across a lighted weeded shoulder and into the shallow sand edge. First highstiking the lure across the surface then dropping them in and around recent digs. And just repeated that till the bream stopped biting. Bloody good fun and as luck would have it, we won the comp with our bags that were mainly built on bream prawn caught fish. My partner but together some nice upgardes with his sponsors lures as well which made the win a real team effort and very satifying for both of us...

Anyway they work very well and in tough bite conditons particularly...which is one angled they were designed for.

Cheers PT
