Snapper on Bream Gear??
Hey fellas, Im going to Robe soon and I have a Abu Revo Premier 20 with 6lb Nanofil on a 2-4kg Veritas Rod. I was wondering what your thoughts were on caching snapper on this outfit.
Cheers Lachie

The Veritas Rod is a machine mate ive pulled in 60cm snapper without a problem and there was heaps left in it.How do you find the Revo 20 Looked at a previous thread saying about line laying and knots have you had this problem?Nice looking reel has alot to offer on paper.hhmmm i need to wipe my lips hehe

U will be able to manage snapper on that gear quite well. I have caught plenty of snapper on 4lb braid and have never been busted off.
If ur fishing very shallow the odd big fish will try and bury u in the reef like a King would but most of them will play nice and its a simple case of playing the fish out. I generally fish 10lb leaders and have only been bitten of a few times, it a fair trade off, more bites but lose the odd fish. Good Luck in Robe |
