Hey guys,

I was thinking of chasing some tailor in the swan river(Perth) but am unsure where to try. Any hints would be great:-) I will be fishing from a boat

Cheers

launch at crawley bay and drive towards point walter..but dont stop there

drive towards blackwall reach...but dont stop there

drive on towards pier 21...but dont stop there

you gotta go a bit further

so drive on towards the harbour...but dont stop there either

go out of the harbour and head south about 4 hundred meters...

turn left and head into fishingboat harbour...

take the first turn left after the first fueling jetty ...

go straight ahead for 55 meters....

tie up at the ciccerallos jetty....

go inside....

stop there at the counter....

ask for tailor.....

oh and bring the secret lure, the wallet. attracts some unwanted species though
but seriously, just about anywhere, Tailor love anywhere downstream where baitfish are prevalent. once you find the school, troll around that same area as they will usually feed in packs. bring a deep-diving lure and a shallow runner to cover most bases aswell.

Quite a few in the canning ATM, being in a boat you can cover a fair ground which will work in your favour, look for bait schools on the surface and it'll be likely that they"ll be getting harassed by choppers...The water between point Walter and the freo traffic bridges would be the best place to start looking one evening or early morning good luck!
