Movie Editing Programs for PC

Hey folks,

I'm just wondering what would be the best program for editing footage, 1080p, on PC? I've used Adobe Premier Pro and didn't really like it. I'll use it if there's nothing else but just wondering what else is out there.

+1 for sony vegas. Awesome once you get the hang of it. My mate is a cameraman/editor and he said that's what they teach you on at film school....
