Given they are affectively the same size reel, it probably comes down to budget and if a shallow spool (2004) is prefered over the standard 2000 sized spool.
I do like the Caldia, once they are in shops (Dec) be easier to decide.

I use 3 reels on my TSR. All 2500: Twinpower FC / Stradic FI / Symetre FJ
I enjoy them all and find that they all fish comfortably for me(my experience). Generally use the TP but like to use the other 2 from time to time. Hope this helps. Regards. HBt.

Definitely get the certate, I've got a 2004 matched to mine and I absolutely love it, balances beautifully..
But that being said I am going to purchase a 2500 caldia to match to my 3-5kg Basstix when it arrives... Cheers Kyle |

Ive got the 2004 certate on mine and love it. I've found though that superfine pe .04 catches in the guides but .06 is sweet or 2lb flouro is my fav for cranking

i just found the stradic too light for it, i know its a light rod but the feel just wasnt nice and as soon as i strapped the certate on you could feel the difference...nothing wrong with the performance of the stradic either but it just wasnt balanced up nicely. i pretty much only use this combo for hards and blades...could use it easily with placcies but i always have other rods set up for plastics ready to go

Excellent choice on the rod. My all time fav light spinning rod. Can work any small hard or soft lure very well.
I've got a 2000 Certate on mine. Would recommend the 2004 or 2000 certate no doubt. Balances very well for me but I guess depends on where you hold the rod. Cheers |
