Boat Insurance

Hi All

can anybody help me im trying to insure my tinnie. The insurance
company im using dosnt have a problem but the price seems high $155 per year is this a normal price or can someone give me the name of a better insurance company.

it all depends on how much you are insuring it for and what you are insuring.
For example I insured my tinnie for $1500 + $2200 for the motor + $300 for the trailer + $560 for the other bits etc
I use HBF and it costs me $8:14 a fortnight or $211:85 inc GST and stamp duty a year

Im using HBF as well .So my $155 is not to bad.

I all my insurance is trough hbf and after dennis told me his costs i feel a bit better about the cost.

I insured my previous boat with CGU and it cost me $211 a year for $6500 cover and $10,000,000 liability.

I insured my new boat with the same company for $20,000 and the price only rose to just over $300.
