cant wait...

Hi guys,
Just put a Stella 3000fe on layby today. Can't wait to pay it off.
Anyone else got a new Stella? If so, can you tell me how good it is? I haven't played with the Fe series before
Cheers

Nagz,

Congrats on new Stella!! They are a lovely reel, light and silky smooth. The whole reel is well balanced. I have 2 2500fe stella's and compared to the biomaster, etc a whole different level.

You will love it. Enjoy and tight lines,

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks mate,
I'm trying to find as much stuff on the reels as possible just to tide me over til I get my hands on it.
Saw one on YouTube that has had all the bearings replaced with ceramic ones, looks smooth as silk. Bloke was wearing white gloves when he touched it. Very keen individual.

yes i have a 3000FE and it is the shizz!

love love love love love it!

It was sooooo smooth when i first bought it and now after a hundred rotations of the handle it is even smoother! just can not compare the build quality of the FE stella to any other reel. This is coming from a former one eyed daiwa fan!

Mate the fe stella is an absoloute weapon. I just got a 4000 and it's smoother than The Fonz. X ship makes a subtle difference in rotating the handle, but translates to a lot more power when fighting fish.

Good choice mate, the new stellas are the best spinning reel available today in my opinion. Smooth, reliable, durable, and it looks good. Enjoy it mate, and let us all know how it goes.

i saw that video Something like 400 bucks worth of ceramic bearings! Looks like it made a huge different because they certainly arnt THAT smooth!

They are very nice reels and feel great ( although i still reckon the millenium stella is smoother)

Great reels, you will be stoked with it

Millennium stella is smoother? is that because its all silver or coz of the extra ports on the spool?

Got my new Stella Fe today. Got a 2500 instead of a 3000, apparently shimano are out of 3000's til the end of January, Devo'd.
Anyway, the reel is pretty nice out of the box. Pretty smooth and shiny matched it up to a 2-5kg spin stick and 6lb braid. Should make trevally, queenies and barra pretty fun targets
Will provide some more insight as I give it a run in

Finally took my new Stella 2500 Fe out for a fish in Darwin harbour. Matched up to a 2-5kg t curve and spooled with 6lb sensor, this tough little reel proved to be the perfect weapon for throwing lightly weighted gulp shrimp to packs of ravenous golden trevally. I managed to hook into one on my second cast, and it took off at pace. The drag was set light and proved silky smooth straight out of the box. After Copping a hiding, I inched the drag up a few more turns. It still performed flawlessly protecting my silly string from the head shakes and power sprints of the trev, not once faltering or jerking. I must say the x ship does make a major difference, not just when pissfarting around playing with the reel, but more noticeably when theres a decent fish on the end of the line. I expected to have to exert a lot more effort on the handle to gain line, but this was not the case at all, I barely tensed my muscles, perfect little reel for a lazy fish fighter like myself
In comparison to daiwa's flagship reel, the exist hyper branzino 2508r, I'd have to say that the Stella is by far smoother andd easier to lightly crank over, however this is only due to the gears in the exist. the drags are pretty similar out of the box, even on big powerful finned bullets, but time will tell how they hold up.
In terms of looks, the Stella is a bit average, especially next to the branzino, but a good looking reel nonetheless.
Well worth the cash, imho. Especially with the shimano warranty of ten years.
Hope people enjoyed my first ever product review. sorry for no photos, im doing this on my phone. if anyone wouldnt mind pm'ing me a ph number I can text the pic and maybe get it uploaded.
Cheers again.

May have some more reviews if u liked this one. I'm only new, so would love to know what u think.
