I rate them nearly bought a second one on Monday but ended up grabbing a massively discounted SolII instead. I have the 2-4kg veritas and for the $140ish it's a great stick.

Very good rods for the money, pick up a 2 piece for $149 and has been a constant performer, keep picking it up. great rod.

I always pick them up at my locals shops and always liked how they felt but don't like the lack of an upper grip above the reel seat..... If that doesn't bother you then nice rod for the money, like most have said above.

+1

Feels like I'm holding the blank which I don't like.

However this is of course personal preference and it's best if you pick it up and like the feel or not.

One of the reasons why I'm upgrading to Samurais is because I absolutely love the feel of the fore grip. The feel of my setup as you may have guessed is very important to me. This is why I'd personally steer clear of it.

I have a 721spl...

Can't compare the two... I rate this for highly!

I'd be grabbing one of these...

There is a purple/black version of these rods too which tend to be stiffer.,,
