Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone has used the baby cranks with any success. Also how do they go on flatties. and what depth do they go etc... Thanks Nick ![]()

Probably not a good flathead lure. Being such a small lure it will most likely be down deep when you hook a flathead. You will have teeth on leader which is something you want to avoid as much as possible.

They work and they go fine on flatties!! I've been catching a hell of a lot of flatties lately plenty up around the 60cm mark on maria and atomic cranks and every single one has been lip hooked, cant see the baby crank being any different. And mate I've caught alot of bream in 2.5-3m of water over rubbly bottom on them so I'd say they dive down around 2m. The box will tell you exactly what depth they get to.

That's the smaller size, there is also one around 40mm very similar in shape and profile to a chubby.

Baby Cranks
Three different models duffman.. I tested a production sample of the tiny one and the beads inside give off a buzz like a bee when ripped.

The D40f in the picture above works well as a trout trolling lure, but I have not been game to try it on a bream, prefer chubbies and camions

the baby crank 30 is a good lure, caught a couple of alright bream on it. I like the fact that it dives shallow so I can work it just underneath pontoons and over weedbeds etc.
