shakespeare tidewater????

Hey guys,

Yesterday i got given a "Shakespeare tidewater 2300 - 030".. honestly never heard of it (looks a little cheap)... Ive had shakespeare gear before and cant really complain, never heard of this range of reel though... Anyone ever thrown SP's with it (or something similar?)... Im not going to complain, coz it was free but keen to hear feedback if anyone has used one before???

Cheers,

Dannyboy

I was also given a shimano JHX2000F reel from the same fella (cleaning out his sons fishing gear from his shead)... Neither have line on the spool, and im looking for another cheaper set up to be able to take up the coast with me...

Dont really know much about the shimano reel either.. whats your opinion??? which one should i fill up and use??

Use the shimano mate . I wouldn't mess around with the shakespeare they have some pretty crappy stuff, especially the durango.
