Talking $160 spent on a pflueger rod

Hey breamers,
I have saved up $160 to get myself a nicer bream rod than what i am using now (kmart rod), but I have no idea what is good out there with that price range. Preferably a 1-3kg light rod. I will be using it with a Sienna 1000 reel, for bream (catch-&-release only) at Canning and swan river and sometimes at jetty such as Woodman point for small fishes like herring, gardies and etc.

Thanks in advance

I have one of these and really like it. They also come in a purple colour which is stiffer on action.

Quantum Response has an awesome spilt butt 1-3kg rod that punches well out of its price range. I reckon $160 would pick you up one of these.
Super strong light blanks. Casts light lures a mile.

Hey guys,
Thanks for all your help, kind words and great inputs.
Through this buying process, i get to meet awesome people like you all and those that Pm'ed me. Just to let you all know, I have decided to get a Pflueger Supreme 1-3kg one piece (which is well within my budget). I bought it online but locally.
Was so tempted to get a samaki zing and tcurve flight but it was not within my budget. Thanks again
I have not idea how good this rod is but hopefully it will serve me well!!!
Any inputs are more than welcome!!!

Mate I have Pfleuger Medalist which is similar to the Supreme and love it so I am sure you will spend many hours on the water with it.

congrats!

Thanks for your input mate. I am still waiting for it to arrive, still stuck in Sydney depot...haha. I cant wait to use it!

I have been wanting to get feedback from other fisho who uses this rod but cant find many in the forum. I want to know what other fisho rate it cause i am thinking of getting a heavier one for bigger fish like pink snapper or tailor, bait fishing basically. Couldnt find much info from the net either. Has this model been replaced or discontinued? Is it worth getting another heavier rod like 2-4 kg or the 3-6kg, or I should just get the asaro 6-10kg?

I am keen to know how this rod perform compare to the Fishing WA rod as well. I dont have many good/expesive rod therefore I dont have much experience with rods. So I am relying on other people's feedbacks...Cheers!
