They both have their time and place, and both catch plenty of fish. Get both

I prefer to use squidgies, because Gulp gets eaten by little pickers in the areas that I fish. The smell of the gulp attracts them and they get torn to shreads. Squidgies look more natural to me, I get better satisfaction using Squidgies to catch fish compared to bait...oh I mean Gulp.

i use squidgies in clear water as it is more natural colour
gulp for the dirty run out water the the bright colours work for me
if i leave gulp unattended it gets a run occasionally but dont last long before its all torn up

yeah, I caught a couple of bream on the bugs around my local canals. they are meant to be worked near the surface in order to imitate a terrestial creature that has fallen in however they work well when fished in deeper water as well.

I have also used bugs. I usually fish them unweighted and bring them across the surface also.

Hard decision. I've caught quality fish on both, although my PB is on a gulp
