Lucky you! Havent come across any like that, but pulled out the waders a few weeks back to get back a heap of lures we'd lost cast along the edge of some reeds. Got back about 8, so over $100 worth easy.

Also went snorkelling once to get back a harimitsu jig that was half a dozen casts old and about 10m from the pier. Spent half an hour or more and came out with at least a dozen jigs (some were cheapies that we gave to the other guys on the pier and they were wrapped), including a few harimitsus, yamaDohDohDohDohas and a few others. That was good

lost one once when wading the flats with a mate once about 20mins later it washed back to my mates feet who was stand 5m from me another time was fishing a marina and rubbed my line across a floating tree branch and lost a dog x jnr 5 mins later saw the orange underneath the front floating about 3m off the edge so stripped down to my jocks and swam out and got it saved myself $40

wish I could find half of what I have lost. Most of them end up well connected into a fish before breaking off, so not much hope of getting them back. Did wade across a river upstream, and then walked down the other side to pick a presso off a tree once - shouldn't have bothered - it was way deeper than I expected, and ended up going for a swim anyway

Did find a bonus 10gram silver slice in the tree - that will come in handy at the next atlantic salmon escape.

Twice this season we caught flatties that coughed up gulp

Pre-fishing the Mallacoota Classics i hooked a pointer 48 in the back split ring, on the same day my mate i was fishing with got busted off by a big flattie and lost his lay-down minnow only to catch the flattie three or four casts later with the lay-down minnow in its gob
