Your Favorite Flats Lures For Bream

Ive been looking to get away from SP's and use more HB lures for bream on the flats. Just wandering what your favorite hard bodied lures for bream on the flats were. Ive been looking at the eco gear MX 48's or the MW62F. Both in the 307 or 308 colours.

Does any one else use these Hb 's or what are your other favorite flats lures

many Thanks as per usual guys

Hey,

Flats are a pretty generic term, so the answers will be varied

For rock/shale flats I like the Atomic 38 deep, keep the bib banging into the bottom and kicking debris up, like a dinner trail.

For weedy shallow flats - Shallow chubbie, slowly retrieved along the top of the weeds

and for very shallow and very snaggy flat - skinny pops, sammy 65, and as a great searching lure - fakie dog - casts an absolute mile!

I also use khamsins, cranka shads, ecogear shads, smith camions and plastics can work well too.

in Tassie the goto lure for flats is a weighted (to suspend) presso 6f, twitched slowly and then paused for 5-10 sec.

Same as all the other hard body questions, Atomics, Jackalls, ecogear and Zips.

The running depths may vary but these are my go to makers.
With 4 lures you can cover nearly all water depths on deep and shallow flats.

I dont mind using a bit of weight on the hard bodies to susspends and sink sometimes

Cranka 40mm vibes(soon to be the Cranka Crank's I'm sure),Nories Laydown minnow,Smith Panfish 55SP,Dawia Presso minnow and Zipbaits RiggeDeep 56F.

All have been great shallow water fish takers for me.l love to fish extreme shallow flats from 1-2 feet and these fit the bill nicely.

Cheers Steve.
