Question Buying Flurocarbon Off Ebay

Want to get cheap flurocarbon to replace my mono line.
Is it okay to get this flurocarbon line off ebay as the title says?

Stren make good line whether it be braid, mono or fluro.
I Would definatly get lighter line though 20lb is too heavy for Bream.
If you are going to buy any i would go for 4lb or 6lb.

That was an example
Would 10lb or 15lb flurocarbon line be ok?
Is the diameter of a flurocarbon smaller than a monoline?
Which is better braid or flurocarbon?

10 or 15lb would still be too heavy for bream 8lb would be the max you need on the gold coast.Generally i dont think theres much difference in diameter between the two lines.
I prefer to use straight fluro when iam casting hardbodies at bream which is probably just a personal thing other poeple prefer braid. If iam fishing with plastics then Braid is definatly better.

Head to your local tackle shop and have a look through the bargain bin for some 4lb braid on discount.. I filled my last reel for $10 with Stren Microfuse braid, even with them spooling it for me! Fluorocarbon is great for leaders, but you won't notice all that much improvement in "feel" using lures over mono as a mainline, which I assume is what you are after... The pros seem equally divided over the benefits of fluro versus braid, but for starting out I'd definitely go braid with a couple of metres of fluro leader.

PE Braid

Is this a good braid http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Sea-Lion-Dyne...#ht_1900wt_905 ?

Will fish see it and be spooked?

By the specs it seems ok but most of that eBay braid is rubbish and talking from experience, snaps very easily, can be very stiff, fades quickly etc etc. Your better off just saving and getting some quality braid like Sunline Super Pe.. even Fireline if you want thats got a fairly good reputation and it will last you a while.

www.fishin.com.au

Go to the braid or fluro section and pick one and you can't go wrong, i recommend 6lb with an 8lb leader. The amount of line doesnt matter so much as you can just back the reel with mono
