Go the Daiwa Steeze STZ 701 MLFSA:

1) The 2500 will balance that rod a lot better
2) It will cast longer, big bream don't get that way because they are stupid

Good Luck

They both balance nice with that reel... Im running the 701 MLFSA it chucks rubber well but the Storm Shadow is lower moduleus so it loads that little bit more for a better cast .. If your using it for bream i'd say Storm Shadow if you want to use it for multiple purposes like Flatties, Jewies, rugger snaps etc i'd definately go the 701 MLFSA, but this rod is so versatile it's a hard question... Why because they are both fantastic rods........Couple of months ago a good mate of mine landed 102cm mulloway on his Storm Shadow he told me the fight was ordinary because of the slower taper but the rod still handled it well........

go the storm shadow, its a wicked combo with the 2506 certate, 701 (I have both) is also nice but a little over kill.

Best Bag I've landed is a 7.28kg bag of 5 on my storm shadows (2) so far....

just because the storm shadow is low moduluos it doesn't necessarily mean it is soft or sloppy, they fish plastics (even unweighted ones) brilliantly... and are faster than a lot of people would have you believe, on a par with a loomis dropshot which I mave also also used alot...

Ohh yeah, 10lb SUNLINE castaway braid too ey!!!!

wow thats a nice bream shauno.
its a hard decision as i hate getting a new rod without having a feel of its action first (lol no puns intended , you know what i mean)
I am leaning towards the storm shadow as it will only be used for bream , I just dont want a noodle...
I had a feel of the tornado today and i really liked it , is the storm shadow anything like it?? if so im getting it for sure
thanks for your help guys

Storm shadow is not a noodle! I really like it...

The tornado is almost identical to the 701, just a newer version... so if you like that, go with it...

However, if you are fishing jig heads under 1/16oz regularly the stormshadow is the better choice, the 701 will not give you the feedback you require to fish jig heads below 1/16oz....

The storm shadow I use regularly with 1/32oz and bigger gulps like turtlebacks or even 2" shrimps, works a treat and will land any bream your likely to find...

wow thats a nice bream shauno.
They are three different fish...

the biggest on in those pics nudged 2kg, the short fat one was just under and the other long skinny one 1.76kg.

47cm (2 pics), 47.5cm and 48cm respectively....

They are compared to the 701MLFSA.......Much slower taper, still a nice rod though would like to add one to the list but i wouldn't use it...All the steez rods are sweet as........

The Storm shadow can handle beasts aswell. I've landed a 94cm and 99cm Queenfish on mine, a 90cm Giant Herring, a huge Jack, and a 52cm and 54cm Cod. Though that was with 15lb braid and 20lb leader. But it's still lighter in the hand than my "bream" setup.
