Sinking Braid that works...

Hi All

I've been using Platypus Sinking Braid for about 12 months now, and it doesn't work well enough for me, ie it just doesn't sink much at all.

I'm looking for something in 6-8lb, to fish SP's, blades, and sinking HB's on a 2-3kg outifit.
Just wondering if anyone has actually tried some of the others (Varivas avani egging, Sunline PE-egging etc) before I try another brand?? My concern is, these japanese lines are designed for egging, whereby you've got a heavier squid-jig to help get the line sinking, rather than the lighter lures we use for bream...do they work with light lures?

Thanks.

Never tried sinking braid, but I have seen this in the shops.

Yeah, there's also the new Diawa Emeraldas sinking braid that might be worth a try, but I prefer something a little lighter if possible.
The Sunline is cheaper than the Varivas but I just want something to do the job...
