Probably Compareable to the Caprice

If you look at the details and convert the price that was given by matty into Aussie dollars you are looking at something like the caprice type reel... they both have 3 bearings and 1 roller..

the main difference looks to be the bail arm..

Anyway.. hope it helps

Hi,

If u were to get the daiwa freams

u might as well spend a few more
and get the Caldia 2005 (US$ 170 / AU$ 260)

Caldia 2005 (Shallow Spool - economic for 4lb fireline)
8.0 oz (225 g)
5lb - 110 yd
4.7:1 gear
2kg drag max
4BB 1RB
65 cm

Caldia 2000 (Normal spool)
8.0 oz (225 g)
8lb - 165 yd
4.7:1 gear
2kg drag max
4BB 1RB
65 cm

Freams 2000 (Normal spool)
9.5 oz (270 g)
8lb - 165 yd
4.7:1 gear
2kg drag max
3BB 1RB
65 cm

Caldia has better quality components then freams
Freams has the normal bail / arm
Calida has air bail

If u have more money,
u can get the Luvias
magnesium rotor, but can be used in salt water
fills the gap between the tournament airity and caldia at us$200 (AU$300)
very value for money for both reels: calida and luvias

My 2cents

Freams v Caldia

Hi

I have had a Caldia and sold it as I had too many reels. I didn't like the look of the spool, it looks like plastic and feels like it. Rayman is wrong about the bail arm, the freams has got a airbail just like the Caldia and the Aus Capricorn. For mine go the Freams which you should get in to the country around the $160 mark. Great value for money.

My 2 cents worth.

Freams

Hi again,

Price is actually $145 at the moment plus freight and it will be to your door in 5-6 days. Cheers.
