250X's
hi guys,
just a quick one for ya, i wanna know how 250X sized reels (in particular daiwa steez 2508, certate hyper custom 2500 and exist hyper branzino 2508R) would fare when pitted against larger fish like barra, jacks, queenfish, etc, running 20-30lb braid? any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated pics with some captures would be awesome too ![]() cheers

The Steez would be lovely to use but the gears might not last as long as they should. The Hyper Certate and the Exist Hyper Branzino would be awesome as the Hyper Digigear are made from a much stronger alloy designed for that kind of use.

Your pic of the reels mentioned would be 2500R models as they are 3000 body and gears and 2500 sized rotors and spools.
20lb Braid would be the go... 30lb a bit heavy... If you choose the hyper certate or exist hyper and branzino hyper exist so get a stronger gear material parallel with saltiga (material that is). Steez would strugg;e over time in comparison, but still super nice to use if your not Jack fishing all the time.... |

If your using it for the fish mentioned a 3000 Hyper Certate or a Morethan Branzino would be a better option
