1" plastics?

Hi all. Just wondering if 1- any one uses them
and 2- which brands make them?

The action of such a small lure may be impaired due to the SP's size as there is not much there to create any natural movements.

Unless of course, you work out a special twitch that will compensate for this downside. I prefer to fish with SPs that are at least 2" or bigger.

as Alex said it is hard to get decent action out of smallerbaits. smallest in the damiki range is the bing 1.5 and f grub. F grub used by quite a few people, be interesting to see who uses 1 inch plastics and how often they resort to them

F-grub = awesome. Don't worry about trying to go down to 1". As has been said they are hard to get any action out of and you need rediculously small jigheads that have very small and generally weak hooks.

i also like soft plastuics of 2" or more just because of the action but i can see why 1" plastics would work in certain situations.

I had a pack of megabass soft plastics that were just over 1 inch. And as an above poster said i worked them close to mangroves with good success. I was happy as it was a strange looking plastic wacky rigged.

Damn they look sick as! Where can I buy them? And are they grub tail or paddle cos I couldn't see in the photos

Check this link. The F-grub is a 1.5" SP but has great action for the size.

I used them on Gama Cobras and TT hidden weight jigheads and caught a few fish in the Yarra about a months ago. You have to work out yourself the minimum jighead weight that makes the tail flip on a drop.

And btw, grubs are better for bream than paddle tails (unless they are rigged weightless and you fish them like "pink grubbing"). Also, flattys love paddle tails mate.

Berkley 1" power nymphs are a good option - they're the only plastic I ever consistently got garfish on.
