good value certate?

hi guys,

had a weak moment,and went and layby-ed a certate 2500r.

i copped the end of model, last 2 in the shop, rock bottom price ,blah blah....

im sure they are excellent reels, after all i've heared on this site.but im not sure if i've paid too much, considering the new models are now out etc.

how much were they selling for in their "prime"?how much would be considered a "rock bottom" price?

cheers

hey mate i paid from memory $725.00 for my Certate 2500R custom, roughly 2 and a bit years or there abouts.
Ive seen the new certate in shops for 480.
The older certates were awesome reels loved mine to bits, my only gripe was it was too heavy to balance my lite bream rods......cheers hope this helps

Did you buy the hyper custom (silver) or the standard model (blue)?

Cheers,

The more you use it the more you'll get your moneys worth out of it mate. The bargain of the century is no good to you sitting in your shed

Iv got the new model 2500r but would much prefer the 2500r custom.... The new ones are nice but the customs have that original certate appeal about them unlike the new ones imo..
