Do Fisheries Still Use These?

I found this pamflet/hand out/poster thing in my draw a couple of days ago and though, geez, thats a good way to stop certain offenders from using the "I don't speak english" excuse. Has anyone seen them around lately or at all? Cos I thought they're a great idea. Perhaps they should incroporate parts of it into those fisheries ruler stickers (It's dated October, 1999).

Hey JigJedi, I think they still do. I have a few in my VFLO bag and I've given them to asian people in the past.
Think they may have been made initially for the sunday morning abalone suicide squad that happens for 8x2 hour sessions every year.

yeah, I wasn't too convinced on that "for yourself and your family" bit...how big's a family? How long are you feeding 'em for? haha.

I think if you took it on a overall average you would find that there are more Aussies taking and killing undersize fish than Asians.

I highly doubt that, considering on average, most of the people I see fishing are of oriental decent. It is a sweeping generalisation, i admit, because I've come across many who are friendly and return undersized fish without hesitation, but it is a problem.

Ha Ha, actually I remember a security gaurd driving around Herrison island around the lakes there and pulling up next to us asking how we're going...and said he doubt's we'll get much because all the "bloody asians come in here and rape the joint, taking loads of fish even the 10cm bream and everything."....you may think that's not too unusual...except that this guy was also an asian. haha. Quite a weird experience indeed.
