Sambo and Pelagic Rods

Hey Guys,

I was looking at rods on ebay and came across some nice looking rods. The brand was Sambo and Pelagic rods.

Has anyone ever heard or got one of these rods. If so whats is the review like.

Cheers

Adam

I prefer to support DohDohDoh or Anaconda. I was just seeing what peoples views of them would be. But thanks for clearing that up

Cheers

Cheers Braidy,
The Pelagic stuff is usually pretty shonky aswell mate. I made the mistake of buying Pelagic lures a few years back and they dont even swim... they were a total waste of money..

Save you dollars for a bit longer and get something decent.

I bought a 6"6 pelagic soft plastics rod which is rated at 2-6kg. I have only used it a couple of times and haven't caught any decent size fish on it to give it a good review though, but it hasn't fallen apart yet. Casting hard bodies is ok, however the lighter jig heads, it seems a bit stiff.

It's a good general purpose rod to pass on to young children or to someone that fishes casually or the rod that you leave in your car and couldn't give a toss if it got stolen, but if your serious about this hobby then buy something better.

Seriously, why would you consider buying something over the net, let alone Ebay that you never heard of??? If you're gonna send your money to overseas atleast buy something you know or heard of.

Im not giving you a hard time but I just want to know your reasoning.

Angry

i bought a pelagic 16 foot surf rod off ebay for $13.50 and wouldnt be buying any of their stuff again. its cast weight is rated between 40 - 100 grams but it has a very soft tip and if you have anything over 2oz of lead on there the tip is doing a u-turn before you even try to cast it. i only used it 4 or 5 times, washed down after every use and the guides are already rusting.

save your money and buy respected gear from a tackle shop.
