What are Shimano Seido 1000 like?

It's striaghtforward what are Shimano Seido's like. I have the opppourtunity to pick up 2 of them for $100 each with 4 spools with 2 x stright 4lb nitlon and 2 x 4lb crystal fireline. They are in good nick wth barely a mark on them.

I have dome some research and found them for $150 new at DohDohDoh obviously no line included, so it seems like a good deal but I have never heard of them so I wasn't sure.

Let me know your thoughts guys...

Bargain mate for that price. You'll be stupid not too.
Also if you don't like them you could sell them for a higher profit
And get a better reel out of the 2

Have you heard of them before? I just hadn't and wasn't sure about the model, its not a model that I have heard anyone speak about before???

Yeah mate get them! I have one and love it, running 4lb crystal and 2lb sunline basic fc. They sit roughly in between the stradic and the sienna in shimanos price range. Really good reals for the price.

There good reels m8 but better of saving $50 more and getting a stradic.

i owned a seido myself. they are a good reel for a starter. and for that price you cant go wrong

I also have a seido 1000 sitting right next to me at the moment.

Its ok for 150 bucks new, but i woudnt rave about it.

Bit flimsy, like most lower end shimano stuff.

Didnt take it too long to start grinding away!! (And i look after my gear)

But hey, maybe i just got stuck with a lemon, i did buy it brand new as a starter reel.

My mate i regularly fish with uses one and he loves it. I have had a few flicks with it and for the price its a nice reel.

As a business move? Maybe buy them. I wouldn't bother though.
For fishing? Use something better. I have a 1000 which I used for bream n squid etc for a while, I have landed kings etc on it but tbh it's not as good as it looks. It's flimsy as heck. You can buy mine for 70 bucks if you want one so badly though. Comes loaded with 4lb finnies

Thanks all, I bought them. Coudln't resist really, I have 2 stradics already but thought I can use these for back up as I have a couple mates getting into breaming and they will be able to use them instead of the rubbish they bought.
