2500 size for a powerbream.

Hey guys,

Yet another what reel related question.
I was wondering what reel to put on my Nitro powerbream.
Because its tip heavy Im looking for something a bit heavier to balance it out.
Will be used on the regular estuary species bream, flatties etc.
Looking to spend no more then $350.
Not interested in the Sol, merely cause i like being "different"
Also, considering weight isn't an issue, shimano reels are also a consideration.
Looking at;
Caldia's ,Twinpower etc.

Any help what be great,
Thanks

Always been a fan of the twinpower. Don't know why love the look.
Btw, its the FC Model Im interested in.

@ Jakel.

You are aware Caldia and Certate and completely different in stats and price.
Or are you wondering if you should go the extra $200 for the certae or settle for a cheaper Caldia?

id personally stick with daiwa
the new caldia would suit the powerbream nicely

Daiwa sure does look good.
But You can't deny the facts that in most cases Shimano is the winner in the long run. They are ugly as Mick Jagger. But are tough as guts. And rumor has it Daiwa can often be a bit iffy at times.
Also, Considering the twinpower actually looks quite good...I'd have to say its a good contender.

IMO the shimano stella is the only reel in contending with the daiwa range. thats just my opinion

I think I would go either a Twin power or a sustain, both nice reels n they have the 10 year warranty rather that 5 years from daiwa.
Cheers

I like both Daiwa and Shimano and can't really decide which I prefer.

I have a Fireblood 4000 (which I got new for $399) and I can tell you it is an extremely smooth reel - very different from the stradic Ci4. ATM I have seen Fireblood 2500's for $380 which is an extremely good price for 'almost' Stella quality. Maybe worth considering?

Caldia would be nice? I actually had a 2000 size Advantage on my powerbream which I found matched well.

Have to say that the Daiwa range seem to put out much a smoother range in the mid range gear! Then again, I like the twinpower too!!

Firebloods are now discontinued mate. However, I know that DohDohDoh in Braeside still have a firebloods, you could probably call them and they could send it off to you or something.
