Spare spools for stradic Ci4?

G'day all - just wondering if its possible to pick up a spare spool for a stradic ci4 anywhere? Is it cheaper to go shimano or aftermarket?

Only reason I ask is I have never altered/customised/done anything to a reel before.

Thanks in adv. Jono

I would also like to know.

Seems a bit odd paying $300 for a reel and not getting a spare spool. I got a spare spool with my cheap Shimano Sonora.

Can get them from your local tackle store, or a stradic FI spool will also fit. I was lucky enough to keep onto a spare from my FI to use as a heavy Line spare for my Ci4

I think the spools for top end reels would add a lot to the price so maybe this has something to do with it. A high quality drag on these reels as well as the metals etc might push it up too high?

Agree's with Hazell.
If certaes or Ci4 came with a extra spool chances are the price would rise to much over $70 plus. So in a way, Luvi's, Sol's etc would normally be a less 50 odd dollars if they had came with no spare spool.
Well its the only reasonable reason I could think of.
May be wrong.
Oh well good luck with the purchase.
cheers,

Cheers guys - So I'm guessing they only do aftermarket (non shimano) spools for high-end reels???

Give shimano a call in Sydney and talk to service

They should have one in the black or they might even have a STD stradic one for a good price.

Any of the Bluewater stores will probably be able to advise and order you one or offer a spool to match.

Most tackle stores can order one in for you. I got quoted $50 for the 2500 Ci4 spool.
