In a word no, I got 150m of 16lb (PE1) Castaway on mine ... you might fit a bit more but I doubt you will get the whole 200m on there.

im running varivas seabass pe 1.0 on mine, it only comes in 125m spools but it only fills the top third max of the spool? and you can comfortably over spool new model shimano reels without dramas because of the new spool

...If ya need the capacity, whack a 3000 spool on it. I've got 300m of PE 1.5 on mine, on a 3000FD spool, using it as a slightly heavier breamin' outfit....red bream that is

Hi guys,

I was able to put 200 Meters of PE 0.8 (10lb) onto the spool without backing :-)!
Should i fill up the spool with backing or should i just leave it as it is? Heard if you fill spool to 90% and it will help with casting as well ?

I have a 2500 10lb braid and I've filled it a lot fuller than your pic indicates ... no problems now for over 12 months ... casts beautifully and no issues with loops and the like.

I have a Stradic 2500, and assuming the spool depths are the same (they should be) then you will easily fit 200m of 10lb line. I can get 150m of 10lb Sunline on mine with a fair amount of backing.

There's a huge difference between "10lb" and "PE1.0" Castaway.

PE 0.6 is 10lb Castaway
PE 1.0 is 16lb Castaway, ie alot thicker!!
