Need a new rod. Advise needed

Unfortunately I snapped my rod on the weekend. I now need a new one. As I am new to the bream game I have no idea what to get and where from. I dont really want to spend more than a $100 if possible. Any ideas?

Berkley Attack Dropshot is under $100 i remember seeing them for around $80 other option is the Pflueger Trion although i think they are around the $120 mark but IMO the significantly better rod.

Have a look for them at your local Tackle shop and if you want to buy online there's DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh which i personally think are very good.

Trion - http://www.DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh.com.au/index.cfm...roduct_id=4515

Dropshot - http://www.DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh.com.au/index.cfm...roduct_id=4396

In both rods you'll want around the 1-3kg or 2-4kg models which are perfect for Bream.

you could possibly get one of the older model raider series rods. i have the finess model, its a pretty sweet stick. they have been on sale around the place for a while now.
i think the new version, mexican something or other, are not much over 100 bux if you wanted to keep up with the times, they are also good rods.

cheers and sorry bout the rod

To keep your $100 budget I would look at the Dropshot but I suggest if you are going to spend another $30 by looking at the Pflueger I would seriously look at the Shimano Starlo Pro models, they are around for $130 too. I have the litespin 731 matched with a 1000 stradic and its a great combo.

The medalists are good value for money. Fairly stiff and crisp, and carry the stiffness into the tip, so probably better for retrieves where you have to put a fait bit of action into the lure.

Quite sensitive too. I had the 6'6" 1-3 kg, and it was perfect for slightly bigger HB's on 6 and 8 lb braid, leaders from 8 lb up.

Look around and you can pick one up for around the 200 mark. At that money it's a free blank, as the components (guides, seat, winding check, grip) cost about that much.

DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh have a maximum shipping rate of $15 so it wont be more than that.
i would definately have a look at the trion tournament pro's (pflueger), they are so good, you will not find a better rod for $129.00, well, thats my opinion anyway
cheers

Save your extra pennies or smash that porcelain pig and go the pfleuger trion tournament. Best rod for the price IMO and look sweet too.
