Calling Exist Branzino Owners!

Hi all...

I Have an Exist Hyper Branzino 2508 and I wish to change the reel from right hand wind (as purchased) to left hand wind.

Most of my other Dawia's are a straight forward swap over, but this one doesn't and there are no little plugs to take out and put in the other side. Am I supposed to undo the 3 x screws on the 'Real Four' plate and take out the guts or what?

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Confused Beevor

Ok if the exist branzino is anything like the Morethan Branzino i'm pretty sure you dont have to open the cap on the other side and you just turn the handle anti-clockwise and it should come out thats how i unscrew my handle on the Branzino

Hopefully that helps!

ok i've just taken the handle of my branzino but the screw thats on the right hand side (where the handle initially was) sticks out more than on the left hand side so i can't wind the handle onto the left hand side is that your problem?

You have to wind the other way.... I just did the same with mine and the switch is easy.

To change it from right to left;

1. Screw the handle anti clock wise
2. Take off the cap on the left of the reel (in the middle of the engine plate screws, comes off like a bottle cap)
3. Screw the handle into the newly exposed thread (screws in the direction of how you would normally wind, so when putting it on as left hand wind, this is anti clockwise)
4. Screw the cap that you took off of the left side (where the handle now is) onto the right side.
5. Catch the pesky breams

Aaaah.... and suddenly I slap myself!

All fixed, I've simply swapped them over and wound in the reverse direction. It was just confusing though, as Tony mentiones above, the screw pokes out further on one side than the other? This didn't seem to affect both the handle and cap going on securely though...

Thanks heaps guys! Now to blood it
