No Fish Here - Africa 2009/10

I havent put up any pics for a very long time (haven't caught a fish in just as long) so I thought I would post some pics from a recent trip I took with my wife.

Enjoy...

More to come....

Pictures look great - Africa is perhaps, the most beautiful country in the world and the most troubled.

To bring balance to a fishing forum, I thought I'd add a picture of a fish - unfortunately, I didn't catch it - a mate did. They were just starting to come on the bite, then the barometer dropped through the deck. Lake Victoria, Uganda. No prizes for guessing the species and it did go back in after the photo was taken.

cheers

Craig - I will be in Adelaide a couple of times in the not-to-distant future. I am also trying to get on a training course in Melbourne. If that comes through I will be sure to catch up with you and a few others.

Macca, nice little Nile Perch there. I was interested in the Perch fishing (obviously) but all the stuff on the web that I found indicated that a nice, well run charter was going to cost way too much.

How did you go about getting out?

It wasn't too hard - there were around half a dozen mobs doing it - I think we did a google search when we were there. It cost about USD$90 each (3 of us) for the morning session - 0800-1200. The boat was decent, gear was decent - although not first class. If the weather had stayed good, we'd have been right, but a thunderstorm rolled in and killed the bite.

cheers
