2 days or so.
It's sent via Express.

But sometimes it takes longer if they're waiting for stock, and don't tell you about it.
I've had that happen to me once or twice.
Just give them a ring and they might make it up to you.

About a week to country SA. If they don't have it in stock, they usually ring me and ask if I would prefer to wait or change to an alternative.

I had a loomis arrive the other week in about 4 days I reckon as well as a heap of lures, well packed and cheap postage as well. Will definitley have another on the way in about 22 days I reckon.... Usually first class service from what I have experienced.

cheers

Well I had a reel arrive the day before I ordered it. But i had left the Flux-capacitor on, so that may not work for everyone

Just a question guys. Why don't you order this stuff through your local tackle store?

I'm not sure what part of Australia your in and what type of fishing you do .I live in Adelaide and roughly the Port Adelaide area I tired the three "local" fishing tackle shops (one has closed in the last month or two).At the time I was chasing what can be described as a trout hook I could use in the salt .Hell I couldn't get anything the size I was looking for!! Being a fly guy in Adelaide is sometimes tough .
I was going to give up when I was bored and searched the net for sponsors of fishing forums I go on .The exact number of shops I emailed could have been around 10 .Out of those shops 3 emailed back, 2 of which told me no you want a larger hook (which I have sitting here new my pc and didn't need more of) Those two I emailed backed my thanks.
Mo tackle was the only one that remembered that saying"the customer is always right ".They didn't say no you need such and such but told me they were on special and so I bought two packs!! and then a couple of months latter my two fly boxes.

And in truth my search started because I was given a vice that was sold by a tackle store in a Northern Adelaide suburb and everything that came with the vice was marked with this shops logo and name.So I phoned them all set to drive the 30 minutes or so only to be told no sorry we don't handle "fly tackle".

Why shop online no one in my "local tackle" area handles what I need .
Why Mo tackle they were happy to give me what I asked for .

Sorry for the epic answer

Don't say sorry for an epic answer. That's exactly what I was asking for. I would like to hear from the other guys aswell. I'm into SW fly fishing also and have been in more remote places than you are currently. In fact I'm in Shanghai for one more day after a year and a half. 20million plus people in this city and no fly gear and almost no conventional either. The reason why I ask is I repeatidly hear guys whinging about places like DohDohDoh staff knowing very little and still ordering online so they get a surprise in the mail and possibly save a few bucks. This is by no means the only reason but fence sitters will stand bye and watch thier local disappear under the pressure of faceless supermarket style tackle stores to save a few dollars. From the other point of veiw it is important that tackle store owners are reminded to value thier customers. Obviously they probably can't carry every item in every size but I know they should know someone in the industry who has it and go to reasonable lengths to get it for the customer even at cost sometimes so the customer is satisfied. Upon satisfaction they will probably return for the next purchase. Today a saltwater fly hook, tomorrow a fly rod and reel.
Micky J, it will be a couple of months until I have access to my fly gear but when I do we can do a fly swap if you'd like. I have plenty of Gama and owner fly hooks you can experiment with.

You thought Port Adelaide was bad. Try NORMANVILLE!!!
The local tackle store is 60km away. Unless you wanna try the servo. The best they can do is TICA, Neptune or Jarvis Walker.
Places like DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh and My Lure Shop ARE my local tackle stores.

I cant honestly give them a rave review like so many others have. I ordered a tackle box (a big ass one to hold all my crap..lol), after a week without hearing anything about the order, i sent them an email - no reply. after 2 weeks with out hearing anything, i travelled upto coffs harbour to see what was going on (plus other reasons to be there...). The staff on the floor didnt know a thing, asked me to wait while they got somebody to help, 30 minutes later a man came out and said "ok hang on, i'll go check" another 15 minutes later, he returned saying "sorry, we are out of stock, i was meant to ring you but i never did". Crappy service if you ask me!
