Best sub $100 reels

What do you guys think is the best spinning reel for less that $100?
I am just getting the kids into light tackle spinning for Bream and EP and don't want to break the bank, but want to buy reasonable gear for them that is a step up from the Silstar combos they use for bait fishing.

Take a look at the Shimano Slade 1000. Great little reel and mine has held up to some serious punishment. Reel + Braid for under $100

reel

Go the Shimano Sedona or a Shimano Sienna. Sedona is about $100 and the Sienna is about $75. Got both and real happy with them.

I had my Shimano Sienna for 2 years now and it still work great, also I have heard stuff from the new diawa liberty $80-$100. Nice smooth handle aswell, also diawa is a well-reliable brand. heres a site where you can purchase it cheap.

Daiwa exceler from rayannes.com.au is worth a look also. $89 for the 2000 if memory serves. I have the 2000 and the 1500 and can't fault either.

Got on of these and while it is a bit rougher than the exceler it is good in the 2500 as a larger reel.

Cheap Reels

Mate,
DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh have the Daiwa Samurai on clearout at $49.00. I have had one for about five years loaded with 4lb braid. Its a good little reel, comes with a spare spool and with a bit of basic looking after should last for years. I use mine as a back up in the comps, I lubed it up when I got it, and cleaned up and lubed the drag and it is still surprisingly smooth to use. At that price they have to be worth a look.
Regards,
Dave

Thanks for the info guy, I am yet to make up my mind but for those that may also be interested DohDohDoh have the Sienna for $49.99 until 16th of October. Reading the above makes this look like a great buy. I think I might have to buy 2.
