Exceller problem

HELP!
I have an exceller 1500 that I initially had spooled with 10lb fireline. All was well and line seemed to be laid on there nicely. Recently, I took that off and went to respool it with 4lb crystal fireline and blow me down the damn thing lays like crap. All the line is tapered towards the top of the spool quite badly.

I should post up a pic perhaps to show it better, but I cant use it the way it is at the momment.

Anyone have any ideas as to what has caused this little problem? The reel was initailly spooled by hand but the crystal went on with a machine tensioning the spool. Could this be the probelm? I wouldnt have thought so

You can alter the way the reel lays line by adding or removing waashers under the spool. I dunno if the exceller comes with the washers though.

Just a guess but maybe the thinner diameter of the 4lb allows the line to follow the reverse taper of the spool a lot more?
