Line Options

Heys guys

For my 16th i got a Miller Rods Bream Buster Brawler, as part of it i was saving for the reel and am about to order it but need some line. (will be going on either a 2000 or 2500 Luvias)

Ive never used braid before and am liking the Sunline brand at the moment, current choices are in between the Super PE or the Castaway PE.

I dont really have a budget but id like to keep it under $80 if possible.

(Leader recommendations are also welcome )

Cheers

wow I wish i had gear like that when i was 16......or even now!
I find it hard to go past fireline, I know a lot of people suggest that there are other brands that are far better out there. but its cheap and i've never had any major problems with it. For the $$$ i cant go wrong.

Leader I use vanish and FC rock.

Supa and Castaway are both really good braids mate personally id go the Castaway.
Sunline also have a rockfish PE in 6lb and I think is 0.6 in diametre and would prob be around the same price,
I Have castaway on my reels and use 6lb Nitlon leader comes in a 100m roll great value for money.
Memba to put sum backing on ur real to stop the braid slipping.
cheers

Ty

Thanks for the quick replies, so far its Cast Away, im open to other options as well.

Also guys that run Cast Away should i upgrade my line because its IFGA rated so it snaps at that exact strength?

Been having a look at:

Daiwa TD Sensor
Line System Bass Hard PE

Too many lines too little reels

Cheaper line = more lures

Still struggle to see the point of spending top dollar on line. Everybody has their own oppinions tho. I'd rather buy a cheaper line and get more lures.

It depends what you want out of your fishing, if its the challange of landing a fish on 2-3-4lb line, or if its saying you landed a fish on 2-3-4lb line, when it really breaks at 8-10lb.

Ha

Usually i would buy the cheaper line and get more lures but b-day present from both side of grandparents was

x5 SX40's
x3 Jackall Chubby Minnows
x2 Damiki Vaults
x2 TT Switchblades

Ive been saving for this for a few months working my ass off, only reason i got a Millerods is good grades (i didnt even think id get it)

Still going with Cast Away at the moment, because its IFGA rated might go up a bit to 10 or 12 pound

The greatest line in the world wont help much if your a DohDohDohDoh caster!

I guess if you havent got a budget as such, you might as well splash out.
