Hello all,
i am currently looking for a bream reel to replace my old sustain.
was thinking i might grab a new luvias.

does anyone have any feedback on them? from what i have read they are a pretty good reel for the price... (and i am keen to buy my 1st daiwa)

I have two, and in that price bracket i think they are the best bang for buck.
I have 2500's one is my jewie reel and i use one for bream with a 2506 rcs spool.
Landed this on it, with the rcs spool on still smooth as

Chop

Any of the Daiwa reels from $300 up are a great buy....I've had sol's, got a steez, exist and a certate hyper custom now all brilliant reels, the more you spend the better the product same with everthing i guess... But Daiwa threadlines piss all over shimano atm IMO........ Good luck with your choice

What size is your certate hyper custom and what are you running in on and what is your target species?

On Wednesday 5th of August 6:30pm Fishhead victoria point are having Bradley sissins from daiwa come out to show some of the new gear daiwa will be bringing out shortly. This will be an advanced screening if you like before the 2009 AFTA tackle show held a few days after. Just thought I would give the brissie crew the heads up,they will also be 3 daiwa rods given away on the night seats are strictly limited so ring 32079965 to let them know if your interested should be jam packed but well worth it if you can win a rod for just being there.

Some of the reels on display: luvias da custom spinning reels,Exist hyper branzino custom 2508,Steez 2004 spinning reel,Emeraldas collosal 2508R

And a swag load more reels and new tournament rods etc.

I have to work so someone go win something!!!!!

Yeah I did'nt like the colour scheme of fuego and went with the older model luvias even though the fuego came with a spare spool. Same with the sol I would probably own one of them if it was'nt so orange. To hard to colour match rods unless you go custom or buy daiwa.

I reckon you guys are being a bit tough, I think it doesn't look too bad - looks like a mini Saltiga. I suppose it's personal preference though!!.

Wow that Emeraldas looks tought though, when do guys think I would be able to get one of those???? Also, I've got a Steez 2500 and a Luvias 2500 now - how would an Emeraldas compare to these two?? Cheers.....

a comparison to a colossal would be a certate, as they are just that, a certate with some bling bits.
heavier than a steez or luvias of the same size, but more rugged
