The 101 Samurai with a 1000 Fireblood or Stella makes me need to change pants - it's like it's not even there!! 2500 size magnesium reels on the 201/203 is almost as heavenly. I'm wishing I'd saved the extra money for a Samurai now rather than getting a Vapor..but hell the Vapor is nice too.

glad to hear you guys love the samurai rods. I have the 201,203,302 and 351 and enjoying the lot of them.
im using the 201 and 203 for hardz and plastics and the 302 for surface lure's, throws a dog x a mile and some of the guys are using the 302 for blades ,very universal .
the 351 is a bait caster and is one of the best rods i've used.
So if anyone wants to try any of these rods and have a cast let me know.
i live on the gold coast , so give me a call on mobile 0466321821 or pm me.

and yes im associated with samurai rods so you can take my comments as you like but if you want to try them so you can find out for yourself, give me a call.
cheers

Man posting at 2:30am don't you ever sleep?
how would you rate them against something like a hastings or G-USA blank and does anyone have the weight for a br101 just the blank.

What reel are you running on your 302?? I'm currently running a Steez 2508 on mine but find it a bit tip heavy. Thinking of going to a Certate 2500/2500R, maybe even an Exist 3012 if the budget stretches. I've been throwing 3/8 vibes around & it casts like a bullet. Absolutely love the rod!!

I've attached a copy of the build specs that were sent to me by Frogleys.

I have the 201, awesome rod matched to a luvias 2500 very very light, use it for hard bodies and plastics, also really easy to work towadi's with. Love em :-)

They are a really nice blank,
As Perrie said he has built and played with a couple. One of them was my new stick, I am really happy with it it is the Br203 soft and whippy but throw blades and Hb really well.
It has caught up to 1.5kg - 2 kg salmon and handled them with ease.
here are some pics as you may have seen from another thread, courtesy of Perrie

I prefer the way Perrie has done the grip as well in reverse much more comfortable, I am contemplating a build on the BR201 blank as well?
