I'll definitely pass. You'll find the same problems that were the undoing of interlines in the past will rear their heads again. Interlines are nothing new. Daiwa have tried before, we'll see how they go second time round.

given there were some issues with the older ones,
but the new ones are a big step up,
and there is deffinatley merit in the technology.

also here in oz we are notorious for being slow to pick up, and quick to bag new offerings.
how long did it take us to fully embrace soft plastics, after a few unsuccesful launches

I for one am keen to give it a shot, and hey at the end of the day its only money

Problems? Wet line stuck to the inside of the blank. The spiral setup inside attracted and held dirt coming off the line. Both incresed frictionand drag on line flow. You need that special threader to run the line out the rod, god help you if you lose it. You need to be right on the money with knot and leader systems, tapered leaders were essential to smooth running. The older tips were also prone to cracking.

Appreciate that new technology is around, but the basic design is the same. I was around, and not in Oz, when the first interlines hit the market in Europe, and watched the crash. By all means test them out. Hope they have more success. I choose guides mate. Repair? Potential damage to the material inside the blank (we all know someone who reels a swivel through, even on 500 dollar rods).
