VX's

Guys,

I just fished a comp over on the East Coast this weekend and a locally larger version did really well for a lot of competitors.

I was speaking to the guy who makes them after the briefing, as I struggle just don't know why they work.

He explained it to me as the "seagull theory" if there is one seagull and you throw a bottle top at it, it will go over and check it out and leave it alone. If there are several seagulls there one will rush in and grab it incase it is food and spit it out once it works out it is no good.

He reackons schooling bream are the same and that these things aren't anywhere near as effective on single fish.

He said think of them as jig heads, use one that is large enough to get to the bottom in water you are fishing. Interestingly enough he said the larger ones are taking off on Reddies as well.

Anyway though it was worth shareing and I have affiliation wiht the guy who makes them, just like the theory and they seem to work.

Cheers!!
