Good question mate!
![]() ![]() Buggered if I know, I've only caught one of the two. I'm guessing there wouldn't be too much difference. Maybe the Y'fin would fight a touch harder due to the fact that they live in areas offshore with high currents and wash such as beaches and rocks, therefore need a bit more muscle to get around. Only guessing though. ![]()

ther was a acticle about this in the 2008 tourniment angler guide saying that yellowfin bream are spooked alot easier at any sign on danger and they are also heps quicker of the mark where as black bream usually take a few seconds to figure out there hooked.
didnt say exactly which fight harder but from what people say yellow'sjust go ape $hit comapired to blacks. i am no expert as ive only ever caught yellows

Having fished both and caught both at those sizes, the yellowfins in my opinion. And they were both on 2lb flurocarbon straight through.
The southern blacks are a little lazy in their efforts I've found. They seem to be more feisty once they have figured something is "wrong" in and around structure, but by then you've normally coaxed them out far enough to not give you too much trouble.
