Gday Breamboy,

Addictive arent they....hehe. Youre gunna wish you hadnt asked now cos I love tatt's and now you wont be able to shut me up...haha

Ive got a Celtic cross on my upper right arm from just above my elbow to my shoulder which I designed out a mix of elements from the Celtic Claddagh cross (but I changed the crown over the heart to a ring of thorns), a Celtic Mariners cross and a Celtic knot of protection. Might have a pic somewhere.
I'm also going to have a thick foggy/smoky shading effect added around it when I get back to London to add more atmosphere to it and make it seem like it is rising out of an eerie cold Irish night background and into the foreground....If ya know what I mean. If I can find a pic of the tatt as it is now you should be able to imagine what I mean.

I also have a back piece (covers most of my back) an interpretation of a sacred heart I showed the artist the concepts and core ideas I wanted included and had the artist give her own creative twist to it.
I prefer to give the artist a fair bit of creative licence because if you have a good artist the results can be stunning. The girl (Raquel from Tusk in London) who did it is incredibly talented and I was and still am stoked with what she came up with. Its not quite finished yet still has to have the divine light that shines out from around it added in and need the touch up done too......So far it has taken 9.5 hrs and I probably have another 2 or so to go.

Also, on my left upper arm I have a Southern Cross but I am having a gambling type scene added below, above and around it that will tie the Southern Cross in with it.
I have decided that I will also having the names and birthdates of my nephew's and niece's tied into the new addition too and I'm quite happy with idea I came up with to add them in too, should look really good.
The first sitting for the new addition is next Monday (at Unique Tattoo's in Subi) but I still have to go approve the drawing (and tell the artist how I want the names tied in)and I cant wait what the artist Saira has come up with from the basic concepts I have decided on.

I have also been considering having a lower leg sleeve done of a Japanese water garden scene with Koi karp, water lillies etc for quite a while now which I will probably have done when I am in Thailand in April.

Ill see if I can dig up some pics of mine.....Cant remeber what I did with the CD they were on it's somewhere around here

EDIT : Hmmm cant find em.....Oh well I'll take some tomorrow and post em up.

nice tatts. Hope you get some pics up tim
I know they are addictive, i see it as once they start doing it, theres no going back unless you just want a line lol.
It was funny when i got that one above done it was with the money my nan gave me for my 21st and when she asked what i did with the money and i showed well you could just imagine lol and also my g/f didnt know i was getting it done either lol
Cant wait to get the koi and lillies and that done on my other arm just gotta start saving cause there not cheap at $100 - $130 per hour depening where you go.

Ill post up a pick of this guy that i met when i was getting my tattoo done he was down from sydney visiting melbourne. When i walked in i thought what the hell hes tattooed head to toe black even under both his feet and in other regions, i talked to him and he said he diddnt like the tattoos he had so he decided to cover them all up and now is going over some of them in white which looks very effective. He was on tv last night on that 1 vs 100 and he is very well spoken and very smart to you wouldnt think it looking at him lol

and the second photo is what can happen if your tattoo gets infected.

Yea I got my first one about 6 months ago and now Im hooked ......Cant wait for the new one to get started next Monday.

Ok ive taken some pics......I had to use the self timer cos nobody else is home but I managed to get a couple of shots that are ok.

This is a pic of the Claddagh, it's getting its touch up done when I get the fog added around it in May.....shape looks a little distorted for some reason but it was the best pic I could manage to get of it.

This is a pic of the one on my back. This one is also getting a touch up done in may and it will also have the the light that shoots out from all around put on then too. The light when its put on will change the look of the tatt a bit and make it look more like a Sacred Heart . The light will look like it does in this link JesusPic

The bottom of the sword looks out of shape coz Im not standing straight..

Not having a dig at guys or ladies with tattoos because I'm a great believer in pro choose as long as it doesn't affect me but want to give reasons why I'd never get a tattoo.

1. It's an indentifying mark on your body
2. It's become so mainstream that it's now trendy
3. They look crappy when your old and wrinkled
4. You cant remove them, well you can with lazers but it leaves a scar
5.It doesn't represent individualism because the next bloke that walks into the tattoo parlour could get exactly what you have.
6. They're still frowned upon in many countries so if you like travel it can limit your options of what you can do ie go to a public swimming pool

I would avoid getting tattoos done in Sth East Asia too, for the fact that it may not be as sanitary as Aus and you may be at risk of infection such as Hepatitis and HIV

Finally the heavily tatooed man is a friggin freak and I'd pay good money to see him in a side show.
