lesson learned

when i first joined this site i looked into everything about boats so i could buy one for chasing bream and maybe try some comps.
i worked out my budget and was all set with the blessing of my wife and then tragety struck , my wife came with me to choose a boat.long story short we walked out with a 21ft cabin cruiser and nothing big enough to pull it . but wait theres more ! . after looking a homes around perth to by she felt it was time to move back to her hometown of Northam.lets see ...a boat that i cant tow 100 ks from water unless i do the avon decent , nah cant carry it over the rocks. just traded it back to what i originaly wanted. expensive lesson. the moral of this story ? well it should be dont let your wife help you choose your boat but really its that you should do your home work, find out what will suit your needs, set your budjet, AND STICK TO IT !!!

I know what ya mean, my mum was adamant that i was going to get a cabin boat, no matter what I really wanted. Thewn introduced her to an ocean whaler 565 with fully enclosed plastic clears over the front, best of both worlds, then realised the Whaler wouldnt fit in the shed, so got the Campion instead! sadly we had to get a T-top made for it, which was a long wait and a half!
