Leon Bettson in Wa has one that ive been on and i thought it was fantastic! (he likes it to).

they are a boat that you can fish in not matter the weather conditons in an estury, really windy or calm.

they tow well, got everything you need on them, break the waves beautifully, stable when in flight (both in the air and flatout) overall i recon there an awsome boat.... however i have heard of them having problems some of the eastern states guys such as cracked gelcoats ect.

just a question breamboy, have you ever been on a prostrike?

my opinion of prostrikes is fairly high, i base this opinion on the fact thats they are by far the nicest bream boat ive been on and that they are bloody fast nitros, skeeters, tritons and stratos' might be better boats, i wouldnt know as ive never fished from one, but without comparing prostrikes to the competition i say they are great.
the underfloor storage, stability and ride are great in my opinion
The problems alot of them seem to be having are a bit of a worry but being the first bass style boat australia has produced some hickups would be expected.
cheers
luke

A post like this is just a waste of space. Do you own one? Have you even been on one? Do you even own a boat?

Why don't you leave the responses to the people who have a clue

I read the other thread that relates to prostrikes just now. I know of the boat that run aground at awoonga. I dont think we can count that as proof of good or bad. Just an unfortunate accident.
However, (and please guys I don't know the fact so don't jump up and down) I heard that one angler was left strandard when the hull cracked and heaps of water was taken on.
I am not saying anything bad about anyone or anything just want to know of any details. As they are one of my top choices it stands to reason that one would want to know of any problems being had.
It may not even be true. Just trying to find out.
Please dont let this thread become another ding dong battle.

Thanks Stu,
Good answer,
I reckon I might have a clue, seeing as I purchased the first non-team prostrike made for the public.
The prostrike keeps getting crap put on them by all and sundry, normally twits that can only aspire to a plywood decked out tinny with a couple of bells and whistles put into an inadequate hull for a few grand.
Well its starting to pee me off. I could afford anything i wanted and I looked at all the other boats available, was even about to buy a triton 186 with all the fruit. That was until i checked out the pro strike. Awesome company, invested big bucks into new gelcoat technology, made in australia, warranty in australia, can even call up the manufacturer in australia and speak to them direct. Try getting manufacturer warranty for your imported american boats. No way, take it back to the boat yard who stuck them into a container to ship them here and make a few bucks out of the breaming phenomenon, and get sorry mate cant help you they are made in America you know.
They are a truly awesome boat made specifically for Australian conditions;ie: trashing olympic sculls, racing up riverside drive's rock wall... GREAT BOAT ALL TERRAIN...and just a few cosmetic scratches. It can even fly!!!!!! ask Alf barbagalos mates.
So if you dont know, dont say, p!ss off and beat your pathetic little drum somewhere else.

Oh yeah and i am in no way bagging US built boats, some like allisons, skeeters, tritons, nitros etc are awesome, but i wanted australian because i am australian and thats the final word from me on that.

Sorry chaps the internet once again hasnt portrayed the gist of my sentiment. I am not calling people with genuine queries about the prostrike twits, only the tossers that bag them, havent been on one, havent fished from one, and probably havent even seen one in real life. But i reckon stu knew that anyway, hes a bright spark our beloved but short firefighter.
My wife said you were possibly wanting to purchase a prostrike but I thought you were bagging it. But as I said to her if you were going to buy one wouldnt you ask the present owners for some positive input, they are not going to bag their 40-50k investment now are they. Especially if they had to put up the reddies themselves.

Not you too . I get enough from Big Pete and his very tired milk crate comments (he needs some new material).

Back on topic; I was lucky enough to score a ride on Chris Wright's Pro Strike for a day and I couldn't fault it.

It was quick
It was stable
It has enough casting deck to land a chopper
It looks the part
and as pointed out it's an aussie

I've been out on a couple of Nitro's as well they share the above atributes but they are an import and your dollars go offshore. As Leon has also said after sales service was top notch on a Pro Strike.

To be fair the Pro Strikes have copped a bit of flack over cracks and so forth but these incidents are few and far between and you have to question how they have been treated. Leon drove his along Riverside Drive on the road (shame you didn't get pinged at 100km in a 60 km zone) and only had superficial damage so that says a lot for their strength.
