Snapper, Flathead and Bream softplastics

I have used softplastics in freshwater with good success catching Redfin but not in saltwater. I'll be fishing around Geelong areas. Can some of you lads tell me which softplastics i should get for Snapper, Flathead and Bream. I'll also be landbased.

Berkley 3 inch minnows in smelt scales on 1/8oz no2 heads fot bream and flathead, and for snapper a 4 inch minnow is best with suitable hook and weight.

Oh and if your not using braid you might need more weight than 1/8, use what you have to .

I really like Atomics. Have caught all three on the 2 inch grub (brown crawdad colour especially) and 3 inch flick bait (especially pearl blue colour). My best flatties have come from the 3 inch grub (still brown crawdad), and I have usually used 1/16 ounce jighead.
Interestingly, for snapper, Kim Bain, who writes for several of the fishing magazines swears by these skinny lizard looking plastics - 4 legs and a tail type, not flathead type lizard! Can't imagine there'd be too many lizards at the bottom of 10m of water, but the results are there for her!

Snapper will take just about anything blackies do...just upsize a bit....
5"Snapbacks are standout because of the punishment they can take...prawn or pink colour
5" Atomic Jerks work
Gulp 5' minnows work (if you can find them )
Assassin's

Salmo: How well do these 5" Gulps work mate? Have you given them a go yet?

I thought they'd work really well, so I've got 4 packs at home, yet to try them out.

Cheers

Berkley 5" Gulp! Saltwater Jerkshad

Ruski the Gulp work well. I find texas rigging works best as they have no buoyancy. The swivel stops the bullet weight hitting the hook....and you snagging the plastic, which happens a lot in rough country....maybe not a issue in Port Phillip Bay????

The nuclear chicken, New penny and sardine I have tried... but you can’t find them here in Perth.....got them on mailorder

Any rubbers with good tail movement have worked for me. The extra flexibility of the Snapbacks really does stand out in my mind.

and most shops have them
